By November 4, 2025No Comments

At the NEM Summit 2025 in Berlin, themed “Connected Realities: Co-Creating Europe’s Ethical, Inclusive, and Sustainable Future Media”, Prof. Maurizio Murroni presented the HEAT (Hybrid Extended reAliTy) project during the session “Arts and Culture using Virtual Worlds.”

As Coordinator and Project Manager, Prof. Murroni showcased HEAT’s vision for a new generation of hybrid extended reality, where holographic imaging, immersive VR, and Social XR converge to create hyper-realistic and interactive cultural experiences.

By combining cutting-edge technologies with a human-centered approach, the HEAT project is pioneering inclusive ways to connect, collaborate, and share experiences across digital and physical spaces.

The NEM Initiative (New European Media) provides a vital platform for experts from academia, industry, and policy to collaborate on shaping the future of media and creative technologies. Its focus on ethical, inclusive, and sustainable innovation aligns closely with HEAT’s mission to redefine how people experience and engage with culture through extended reality.
