The HEAT project is delighted to support the 2nd edition of the “Interaction and Storytelling with(in) Immersive Media (ISIM)” Workshop, which tackles the exciting challenges and opportunities presented by the future of media experiences. The rapid emergence of novel technologies, formats, and mediums has opened a new wave of possibilities to reimagine content creation, hybridization, distribution, interaction, and engagement, paving the way for transformative media experiences.
This workshop aims to explore the integration of cutting-edge immersive media technologies and formats, such as point clouds, light field, 3D Gaussian Splatting, spatial audio, and multi-sensory stimuli, potentially augmented by Artificial Intelligence (AI). The focus will be on innovating new multimodal interaction and storytelling possibilities within immersive media environments, enabling engaging, and revenue-generating consumption experiences.
In alignment with HEAT’s vision of advancing next-generation distributed and hybrid XR experiences, ISIM fosters collaboration across academia, industry, and end-users, facilitating discussions on challenges, opportunities, and added value for both consumers and industry players. By supporting this cross-fertilization initiative, HEAT underscores its commitment to driving innovation in the immersive media domain and enhancing its societal impact.
