HEAT Proudly Supports ISIM at ACM IMX 2026

The HEAT (Hybrid Extended reAliTy) project is proud to support ISIM (Immersive Systems, Interaction and Media) at ACM IMX 2026, continuing its engagement with the international immersive media research community.

Members of the HEAT consortium plan to once again contribute to the organization of ISIM, building on previous editions that brought together researchers, practitioners, and creatives working on immersive systems and experiences. ISIM provides a dedicated forum within ACM IMX to explore cutting-edge developments in immersive interaction, media technologies, and human-centred experiences.

In addition to organizational support, HEAT members are exploring new forms of contribution for the 2026 edition, including live demonstrations, work-in-progress papers, and other interactive formats. These activities aim to showcase emerging ideas, early-stage results, and experimental systems, while encouraging open discussion and collaboration across disciplines.

Supporting ISIM aligns strongly with HEAT’s mission to advance immersive, multisensory, and interactive media, and to connect research innovation with real-world applications. Participation in ACM IMX 2026 also offers an opportunity to engage with a broad international audience and to contribute to shaping future directions in immersive technologies.

Further details on planned activities and contributions will be shared as preparations for ACM IMX 2026 progress and can be found here: https://heat-xr.eu/isim-workshop-2026/.
