Between November 18 and 22, 2024, Prof. Simone Porcu from the University of Cagliari (Italy) presented a series of course on Metaverse Technologies and Photogrammetry. The lectures took take place daily at 4:00 PM in Room NII1 at Transilvania University of Brașov (UNITBV).
This lecture series was organized within the framework of the HEAT Project. The courses provided participants with a deeper understanding of how photogrammetry and metaverse technologies are shaping the future of immersive digital communication.
On the first day, Monday, 18.11.2024, the class was be preceded by a brief presentation of HEAT project.
The lectures were also included within the specific activities of IEEE Broadcasting Society, Romanian Chapter, coordinated by Prof. Vlad Popescu, Vice-Dean for Research of the IESC Faculty.
The lectures were open to all UNITBV students as well as external participants with an interest in metaverse technologies, XR, and AR-based communication. This was a unique opportunity to explore the latest advancements in immersive digital media and next-generation content creation for students, researchers, or professionals.
